Here’s one of the events to look out for in May.
If you are planning to stay at Tenuta Fattoria Vecchia during the seasonal opening weekend (April 28th-May 1st), here is a suggestion to spend May 1st differently from the usual.
Among the events held in May, we would like to share this initiative organized by the archaeological park città del Tufo.
While exploring towns such as Sorano, Sovana, and Pitigliano on a day trip, you can visit the “Vie Cave,” Etruscan settlements perfectly preserved over time. The area of the Municipality of Sorano is a corner of Maremma that holds a unique historical and cultural heritage.
On May 1st, starting at 10 a.m., there will be a trekking walk in the park from Sorano to the rock village of Vitozza.
Here is some information about the hiking:
Please note that the excursion will be held in Italian
Meeting point: Sorano, Piazza Busatti, 10 a.m.
Km of the route: 14 Km approx.
Difficulty: Hiking level (about 6 hours of walking)
Don’t forget to bring hiking or running shoes, enough water for the entire hike, a packed lunch, and, last but not least insect repellent.
